Bibury Trout Farm was a wonderful day trip for us with our family. We reached the village, parked our cars in the farm's parking lot and got our equipment for fishing. It consisted of a fishing pole, net and a wooden stick (you may have guessed for what it was). We walked around the farm to save us a spot by a bbq pit for after, and came back to the stream where we could fish for trout. They gave us some soaked bait which we needed to put on the fishing hook. We got quite a few fish and had a delicious meal of bbq fish and some juicy watermelon.
They also have a play area for kids and a gift shop where we got some local Cotswolds honey which was very nice too.
After the farm, we walked around the village and it was so scenic with English stone cottages with ivy growing on them and pretty gardens in the front, and little bridges over the river and more beautiful stone buildings that constitute a true English village.
Definitely worth a day trip from London and fun for the kids as well!
