Day 3: Stonehenge - scenic landmark

We had rented a car for Sunday, however had to pick the car on saturday, since the rental office would be closed on Sunday. Since we had the car for the day, we decided to make a trip to see the Stonehenge.
It was fortunate that the rental company had automatic cars, since we would be pretty much lost in a manual one. Drove car in England - check. :)
Drove down to Stonehenge, where the traffic was bumper to bumper for the last ten minutes. As you drive down the road to the visitor center, from where you can take a bus close to the monument, you see the Stonehenge on your right from the car and a ring of people surrounding it to take the pictures - just bring along your imagination to take some fantastic pictures with the iconic stones in the background.

In the navigation app, it will tell you to stop the car right there on the road with the Stonehenge on your right, but there is no parking there and you will need to go till the first right turn, take the right, and drive down to the visitor center.  Parking is paid and you will need to pay it before entering the lot.
Thankfully, we had bought our entrance tickets online that morning and saved ourselves a ton of time from waiting in the long line to buy tickets. They also rent out audio guides in case you are interested.
Had lunch first at the cafe in the visitor center - veg and steak pasties which was like a small pie crust turnover with filling inside and some hot chocolate. The cafe is the only option for your meals there.
We saw the exhibition ( huts and a huge monolith (sample of the stones in the Stonehenge)) outside the visitor center, and then stood in line to take the bus that drops you right by the Stonehenge. The bus ride was about ten minutes long.
We spent about an hour taking pictures and walking around the Stonehenge.
While waiting in line for the bus ride back to the visitor center, we bought some sweet strawberries from the fruit booth off the path.
There was also an ice cream truck in the parking lot which was a good complement to your meal from the cafe.
Saw the Stonehenge - one of the most mysterious sights in the world.

Late evening, we made our way to Southall (Indian neighborhood) for some delicious chaat, and Indian food in one of London's South Asian areas.
